Task of the Week: Brands Supporting Pride

Premise is asking its Contributor network to identify which brands they think are doing the best job of marketing during Pride.

The month of June is also known as Pride, a time to celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and to honor the progress they have made over the years.

Pride also tends to be a time when businesses of all shapes and sizes proclaim their commitment to the LGBTQ community. Brand logos are changed to incorporate the community’s signature rainbow design and businesses sell rainbow-themed products to help people celebrate Pride.

That’s why this week’s Task of the Week is all about Pride.

What is this task about? 

In honor of Pride, many companies are celebrating and giving back to the LGBTQ+ community. Premise is seeking to understand awareness of these brands as well as their efforts and impacts.

How can Contributors complete this task? 

Contributors will need to identify three brands that they believe are providing genuine support to the LGBTQ+ community and answer a few questions.

Why should Contributors complete this task? 

In light of growing criticism of companies whose support and celebrations fall short along with accusations of “pinkwashing,” Contributors can help us understand the perception of brands with Pride Month campaigns and identify brands with more authentic support for LGBTQ+ people.
