Premise Data is proud to announce that it has hired Sam Sudlow as its new UK Commercial Business Development Director. Sudlow will be charged with leveraging his extensive knowledge of the retail and consumer brands industries to help Premise accelerate its rapid growth in the commercial sector.

Sudlow, who will be based in London, brings more than 20 years of experience in market research and data analytics to Premise with a heavy focus on retail strategy and consumer research.

“Premise’s unmatched combination of an on-the-ground contributor network to provide ground level, geotargeted insights and machine learning to ensure data accuracy has an unlimited amount of potential when it comes to helping retail and CPG brands grow their marketshare,” Sudlow said. “Premise’s platform can truly provide data for every decision that a brand could have to make. I am thrilled to be joining Premise at such a pivotal time.”

Sudlow was Chief Operating Officer at Brand View, where he managed a team of 50 people across all facets of the business. Sudlow helped grow Brand View’s business to the point where it was acquired by Ascential PLC in 2018. Post-acquisition, Sudlow oversaw Ascential’s global sales operations team and its retail sales division.

In addition to Brand View, Sudlow has held leadership roles at a number of fast-growing consumer and shopper research agencies as well as big data and analytics firm IRi. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Geography and Social Anthropology from the University of Wales-Lampeter.

Sudlow joins Premise in the midst of what has been a busy year of significant growth for the company. Premise announced in January that it had raised an $85 million Series E funding round lead by Laurence Tosi’s WestCap Group with participation from NightDragon, Winslow Capital, DRW, and Vista Credit Partners. Last month, Premise was named one of the Best Startup Employers of 2021 by Forbes, recognition for the company’s strong corporate culture and its diversity.

Sudlow is the latest, but he will not be the last addition to Premise’s team. The company is planning on doubling its headcount in 2021 and is currently hiring across all departments in both the US and the UK. To learn more, visit https://www.premise.com/careers/
