Jonathan McDonald

Head of Global Public Sector

Jonathan McDonald is the Head of Global Public Sector of Premise, responsible for developing and implementing go-to-market strategies that identify growth markets, capture incremental revenue opportunities across existing market channels and connect solution capabilities to profitability targets across sales, marketing, operations and finance. Prior to Premise, Jonathan was the EVP & General Manager of TransUnion’s Public Sector line of business, building it from the ground up, providing a suite of mission-critical SaaS and analytic solutions to help federal, state, and local government agencies manage risk and reduce cost. Jonathan was also fortunate enough to be involved in TransUnion’s initial public offering (IPO) being listed on the NYSE in June 2015. In 2021 and 2022, WashingtonExec named Jonathan to their top 25 and top 35 public sector executives to watch, respectively. He earned these recognitions due to his success in improving public-private partnerships, enhancing national security posture, and challenging the marketplace, resulting in faster innovation and lower costs to the public sector at large. Jonathan served as a U.S. Marine Infantryman and in the honor guard at 8th & I Marine Barracks, Washington D.C., before graduating with honors with a B.S. in Statistics & Information Sciences and then an M.B.A. from the Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland, College Park. He then went on to work in various leadership positions across several market-leading software, data, and analytics companies, including Sybase (now SAP), IBM, LexisNexis, Pivotal Software, and TransUnion.
