Country Support Specialist Spotlight: Yasemin


We are continuing our global workforce spotlight series (which includes our country support specialists (CSS’s) and country managers) with Yasemin Dönmez.

Our global workforce plays a huge role in our ability to manage hundreds of networks and thousands of Contributors across the globe. We asked Yasemin a few questions so that you can get to know them and their work with Premise. Here is what they had to say:

Where do you live?

I live in Ankara, Turkey.

What is your background?

I am Turkish, but I was eventually born in Al Karak, Jordan and raised in Cyprus until the age of four. Then we moved back to Turkey. I’ve studied Industrial Design and Interaction Design in Ankara and the Netherlands. I speak Turkish, English and some German. Currently, I’m a PhD candidate focused on Human-Computer Interaction.  

How did you find Premise?

I was looking for extra freelance work through Upwork, that is how I was invited for an interview with Premise. 

What do you do for Premise?

I am the CSS in Turkey, I communicate with users, take care of the social media account, and I do translations and app testing.

How long have you worked for Premise? 

It’s been a year now wow, time flies! 🙂

What did you do before you started working for Premise?

I was a master’s student and also I was working as an industrial designer.

What has been your experience with Premise?

I got the chance to know a lot about data collection, global market prices, and public health conditions from all around the world which is amazing.

What do you enjoy most about working for Premise?

I like the idea of having flexible work times, and also having a very friendly community of co-workers from all around the world is amazing.

What is your biggest challenge working as a CSS?

Answering Zendesk tickets 🙂

How do you work with team members that are in other countries? 

I really love how we communicate and sometimes chat via Slack about our culture, habits and daily life. Even though there is a time difference, we still manage to communicate.

What has been your proudest moment working for Premise?

When Premise expended to all cities in Turkey. I was very happy, having so many Contributors from Turkey is amazing. Also, there has been some thank you comments on the Google Play Store which I love. 😀

What have you learned while working at Premise?

I learned that we can work collaboratively with people all around the world and share the same goal.

What do you like to do in your free time? 

I like painting, reading books, playing with my cat, doing yoga and shopping. 🙂

What is an interesting or fun fact about yourself?
