Intelligent Diagnostics "Server" for IETM's

Linkage data is required when the Diagnostician is to be used in a run-time environment. There are two primary types of linkages:

• Test-related linkages
• To primary test gathering mechanisms or system monitoring systems which integrate the IETM fault call-out with the actual execution of tests or collection of data from a process.
• Fault-related linkages
• To authored repair procedures which link the knowledge base to the on- line documentation in run-time.

The Diagnostician is completely self-contained software. For different applications, the user must only be concerned with how to get information (test results) into the Diagnostician from operator observables, performance monitoring (PM), built-in test (BIT) and manual tests. The output port is electronic technical information provided to the user by the AIMSS Run-Time system.
