Giordano Automation Announces ...

Concurrent Engineering Tool Set Will Transition to

Windows 95 and Windows NT

Giordano Automation announced today that they are transitioning their Concurrent Engineering Tool Set to Windows 95 and Windows NT operating system environments. The new tools will have a windows-oriented graphical user interface and will support a wide range of new functions as well as all functions that currently exist in their tool set.

Gerard Giordano, President of Giordano Automation said "The transition to Windows 95 / Windows NT will enable our tools to fit a broader cross-section of the EDA marketplace. Our tools will be fully compatible with virtually every engineer's operating environment and CAD platform."

Mr. Giordano went on to say that the last few year's application's of the tools by customers has resulted in so many enhancements and advanced tool set features, that re-packaging the features into a new User Interface makes sense.

The tools will be restructured as a series of distinct functions. An overall roadmap will guide the user through implementation and will monitor the status of individual projects as they proceed through the process.

The new software will be available for beta-testing in September and will be available for full release in January 1997.

The Concurrent Engineering Tool Set (CETS) is a Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) testability analysis and DiagnosticianTM design tool. CETS consists of:

The Diagnostician is a set of intelligent software algorithms which operates on a product's knowledge base (generated by CETS) that analyzes test results and provides fault isolation.

Giordano Automation will continue to support their X-Windows Motif based Concurrent Engineering Tool Set for Sun Workstations and PC users using Hummingbird's eXceed 4 Windows 95 and DESQview/X.

The cost of the Diagnostic Profiler is $2,500 for an annual single seat license, and $25,000 for an annual site license.
