Diagnostician VI Provides Automated Diagnostics Giordano Automation announces the release of Diagnostician for LabVIEW. The Diagnostician, a software package, implemented as a series of LabVIEW virtual instruments (VIs), performs automated model-based diagnostics based on the execution of LabVIEW tests.

The Diagnostician, which operates in the LabVIEW environment, is implemented as a series of VIs. You can call these VIs from within a LabVIEW application to provide diagnostic results based on reading the results of individual tests.
The Diagnostician VIs include:
OPEN DOC Open Diagnostician Communications TELL DOC Pass Test Results to Diagnostician ASK DOC Ask Diagnostician for Diagnosis or Next Step CLOSE DOC Close Diagnostician Communications
You can integrate these VIs into a LabVIEW application to suit a variety of operating modes. The software package comes with three templates of primary "modes" that you can use in integrating the Diagnostician with a LabVIEW application:
Diagnostician Control Mode - The Diagnostician manages the flow and execution of tests.
Go/No-Go Control Mode - A set of functional or go/no-go
tests are performed, the results are passed to the Diagnostician, and the
Diagnostician subsequently takes control of the flow and execution of tests.
Mixed Control Mode - The flow and execution of tests
can be passed between the Diagnostician and the test application.
The Diagnostician performs dynamic fault isolation in a run-time environment. Components of the Diagnostician include:
The cost of the Diagnostician software package starts at $2,000 for a single platform license. Quantity discounts start at five platforms. It is available immediately.
